Music No More

This generations lacks taste in music. We listen to nonsense that talks about money and whores. I don't know why we ignore that real purpose of music. The time and raw material that should go into music barely exist. Today's RnB sounds more like pop and the rap sounds like it took two minutes to write. A lot of artist recycle lines. The songs all consist of the luxuries and power the artist "has". Basically, we listen to the same lyrics just with a different deliverance or voice. I appreciate a good artist of our generation who dares to talk about things other than sex, drugs, and money. I really appreciate songs from the 80s and 90s decade. That music didn't desensitize people because it was already clean enough to let the imagination run wild. Our music talks about sex without any creativity. The electric tone voice makes it seem like everyone is talented. This in itself makes us believe that we can all be music icons, which is unrealistic. The generation I live in lacks depth in our music. I want be able to say "wow, that was deep" or "whoa, that was clever". Kanye West, Wale, and a few other lyricists are the few that impress me.
